In the context where micro-enterprises account for a large proportion of the business community yet face numerous limitations in resources, governance, and market adaptability, the “Micro-Enterprise Consultancy” project implemented by STI Vietnam Co., Ltd. has delivered practical results, contributing to helping enterprises step-by-step enhance their operational capacity and aim for sustainable development.
The project was executed with the objective of supporting 30 micro-enterprises to clearly visualize their operational status, correctly identify key issues, and build an improvement roadmap suitable for the actual conditions regarding scale, field of activity, and readiness level of each unit. Accordingly, each enterprise was approached with a distinct roadmap, avoiding rigid application, ensuring feasibility during implementation.
The project was deployed under the chairmanship of the Northern Center for Support of SMEs, Cooperatives, and Household Businesses, a unit under the Agency for Private Enterprise and Cooperative Development, Ministry of Finance, with the function of advising and organizing the implementation of SME support programs according to State guidelines. Through the project, the Center has promoted its role as a focal point connecting policy, experts, and enterprises, creating conditions for micro-enterprises to access in-depth, practical consulting services, contributing to enhancing governance capacity and aiming for sustainable development.
From the very early stages, the team of consulting experts worked directly at the enterprises to survey, collect information, and comprehensively assess the production-business status. Survey contents focused on core elements such as personnel, finance, production, sales activities, and internal governance.

Through the survey and direct exchange process, enterprises not only provided information for consulting activities but also self-reflected on their current operations, thereby raising awareness of points needing improvement in the next phase.
Based on the status assessment, each enterprise was supported with one key consulting topic, focusing on the issues the enterprise was facing the most. Consulting solutions were designed to be simple, easy to apply, and suitable for the personnel scale and financial capability of micro-enterprises.

The difference of the project is that experts did not stop at proposing solutions, but directly accompanied the enterprise during implementation, monitored results, and made adjustments to suit operational reality. This approach helped enterprises step-by-step form a habit of working with plans and processes, instead of relying completely on personal experience.
After completing the consultancy, the 30 participating enterprises have:
-
Possessed status assessment reports as a basis for operational improvement;
-
Received recommendations and solutions suitable for actual conditions;
-
Been trained and guided to self-implement, maintain, and continue improvements after the project ends.
More importantly, the project contributed to helping many micro-enterprises shift from spontaneous working methods to oriented governance, gradually enhancing internal capacity and market adaptability.
“Through the process of working with the consulting expert, we saw more clearly the limitations in our production organization and internal management. The consulting contents were exchanged directly, were easy to understand, and suited the enterprise’s actual conditions, giving us a basis to step-by-step improve operations in the coming time,” shared the Representative of Yen Binh Precision Mechanical Company.

As the consulting unit, STI Vietnam Co., Ltd. commits to continuing to accompany, support, and share experiences with micro-enterprises in the process of maintaining and developing production and business activities.
The “Micro-Enterprise Consultancy” project not only bears immediate support significance but also contributes to creating a foundation for enterprises to enhance governance capacity, aiming for stable and sustainable development in the coming time.
