Beyond being a tool to quantify greenhouse gas emissions throughout the product life cycle, PCF also serves as a basis for organizations to improve operational efficiency, meet international environmental standards, and demonstrate commitments to sustainable development within global supply chains.

What is product carbon footprint?

Product carbon footprint (PCF) is a quantitative measure of the total amount of direct and indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated throughout the entire life cycle of a product. In Japan and the Republic of Korea, carbon labeling programs have become mandatory criteria in many consumer goods and industrial sectors.

Beyond compliance, PCF calculation also introduces a new approach to emissions management.
